15 Days into NaNoWriMo and I’ve written forty-five thousand words of a book.
That averages out to around three thousand words a day, but I’ve had some non writing days and some mega word count days so it is all good.
And I am half way through the story. All the threads are just beginning to come together at the centre of the weave. There is a picture, and the threads are ready to unravel in their own fashion and take the other paths that I’ve left nice and open. Because I do hate to know what is going to happen. I’m a reader first. And I write as a reader, and I like to keep my readers on their toes. (Even and especially when that reader is me).
The best thing about this process is that I am having so much fun. Because every time I write some more I am excited and happy and I feel like I know what I am doing. Even when I know I haven’t got a clue.
So I am really sorry, real world people and things that need my time, but I’m only half way there. I’ll give you all my full attention after November 30th, but until then, you know where to find me. So please don’t come looking.
